I came across a Filipina nurse who was working in Singapore General Hospital before, dumped her long-time bf in La Union and married to a white guy, and followed him to stay in UK. I was a friend of her bf, this guy was really devastated upon receiving that news of breakup from his gf, and was trying to get recovered from his emotional trauma. He felt that he was being cheated and betrayed by his ex-gf. But I talked to him on the phone and comforted him. I said, Life is full of surprises. Dont put all the eggs in one basket. Sometimes we must be smart enough to make a balance between loving ourselves and the ones that we loved. Dont put all the hopes in others. They might fail you one day, but not God. Just trust Him, He is our handyman. He will patch up all the cracks in our life.
