I can appreciate those who have given opportunities to me, I also know that when given an opportunity, one has to take it and run hard to make the best of it… There is nothing in life free, one must work hard to get ahead. That being said, there are people who have been given a foot up, those who may not even realize the struggle of the people who work twice as hard because they’ve never seen the struggle, and we acknowledge that in this is life there are the haves and the have not’s. Now I’m not and will never be ungrateful, but to those who are the haves…. Stop telling those who aren’t, to pick yourselves up by your own two… easy thing to say for those who’s starting line is 10 feet from the finish line, in a 100 yard dash, not so easy for the rest of us who are staring at the beginning, now add tying ones shoe laces and cut the soles off the bottom of the shoe, while laying sharp objects in the lane. That’s how it feels at times, yet it is a race that most of us are willing to run because sometimes youve prepared for this race by running other prior races, and if you did anything during those races, youve toughen the soles of your feet and learned how to overcome. Yes life is not easy, but if you are not willing to stay in the race, you’ll never know the feeling of absolute resolve…. And the accomplishment of winning, even when you don’t come in first…
