I cant believe Im going to have to say this but: Commenting on the character of your FBook friends based solely on their voting intentions, especially given that most of you havent given 2 shits on voting implications at any other point in your FBook history (possibly lives as whole) is very weak. Read back your posts and see who comes out looking worse. Yes People, the No Voters are entitled to their thing! No People, the Yes Voters are entitled to their thing! If youre voting on constitutional reform or a chance to change/not change the political apparatus in Scotland, vitriolic nonsense about the persons, and not the point, will be viewed as a clear own-goal. I believe you footballer types have a phrase about playing the man and not the ball - Youve watched the mainstream media conflate ideas of Independence with Nationalism, Racism, Ignorance, and consistently use it against Eck (see?) and other Yes leaders. While Im sorry that some No Voters feel too intimidated to speak freely about why they are voting no, I am equally angered by death threats and car-rammings toward the Scottish FM, the difference of course being that youre supposed to be trying to convince a no voter and the FM dont need anything from you there! This is all playing into the No-Vote, the more people start shouting Traitor and Unpatriotic, the more undecided voters will be turned off, if you cant remember / dont know the difference between Pride in Your Nation and Nationalistic Patriotism - you might actually be part of the problem. THIS IS ABOUT CONSTITUTIONAL OPPORTUNITY!!! A SOVEREIGN SCOTTISH PEOPLE.
