I cant believe the jockeys statement....he said how the owners loved this horse & THEY didnt deserve this........THEY didnt deserve this? What about the bloody horse? HE didnt deserve this.....or doesnt HE count even though HES the one who died! And if they loved him so much where were they went he went down? Why werent they there by his side in his hour of need. We horse owners who DO truly love our horses know what its like to spend a horses last moments by his side. We know what its like to sit with a sick or injured horse for hours, days even to tend to him/her. We know what its like to walk the paddock for hour upon hour in the middle of the night dragging a colic riddled horse behind us to keep him on his feet & moving & not let him succumb to colic that would no doubt kill him if we didnt do this. We know what its like to do whatever it takes to keep a horse on its feet while waiting for the vet to arrive, be it in scorching sun or pouring rain & gale force winds......that, people, is what loving a horse is all about!!!!!!
