I cant stress enough the importance of childhood training. Some of the benefits are; 1. Creating a good work ethic at an early age 2. Learning how to properly pick up objects 3. Learning how to control their breathing 4. Developing balance and coordination 5. Developing self confidence The breakdown of these benefits.. #1 is self explanatory. Children nowadays spend countless hours playing video games, on their phones, watching tv and very little time being active. Signing them up for something like training makes them accountable to be there, and while they are here they are pushed very hard. #2, take a look at the third movement the girls do. Its called a medicine ball ground to shoulder. It is a strong man move. The ball that they are using is 20 pounds, yes, 20 POUNDS! Almost half of what these girls weigh. BUT, check out the proper technique they use. They were taught this, and now, its almost second nature. #3 is very important in life. Breathing is often over looked and taken advantage of. Until you run a block and cant breathe. Training teaches them when and how to properly breathe. A huge benefit for these girls on the soccer field (GO FUSION!!) #4 studies show that after the age of 12 balance can not be obtained. It is something you learn young, and if you are not taught it youll be a tux for the rest of your life. Haha, I dont know how true that is, but we work on footwork and balance every class. They are quick learners. #5, last but not least; SELF CONFIDENCE. In the social media works we live in today, kids are taught that a skinny stick figure is normal. Kids have an image in their head of how they are supposed to look. Sometimes this image can cause a lot of damage to kids. Training and giving them constant high fives keeps them positive. Keeps them motivated. I get asked this question often, dont you think the girls are pushed too hard? My reply is, ask them. The girls never complain; they come to the gym twice a week. Each and every time with a smile on their face, and leave with the same smile, or bigger. GET YOUR KIDS ACTIVE!
