I close my eyes and I feel the blocks under my feet going to the corner bodega getting me a beef patti with cheese and coco bread I can hear the sound of the c train rolling over tracks on its way to Rockaway ave. I can smell the unmistakable smell of the greatest city in the world Brooklyn I miss those summer nights sitting on the stoop with Tye Bino and Keehawanda Ingram listing to sirens from the cop cars from the 73rd playing ball in I.S. 55 park heads came from all over Plaza Mob Towers Howard projects 7th Walk and all the blocks no matter were I went Bergen st was my home I miss those day we used go outside and play eat heroes drink a 50cent juice play till the street lights came on hang with your homies we had a problem we shoot the 5 after we fought dap up go back to being friends I miss seeing my grand father sitting on the stoop (Primo, Fat Ron) cutting hair in the basement Buck wheeling the whole block on a ten speed bike i can go on and on salute to the place I grew up at salute to all that helped raise me salute to those that are here and those who are gone I carry you in my heart
