I consider this a Halloween song not because of the tune, but because of the 45 second spoken word intro. Legend has it that Meat Loaf and songwriter Jim Steinman (thats him with Marcia McClain in the beginning) couldnt pay anyone to listen to their songs for over a year until record exec Steve Popovich heard the introduction. It was a short piece with no music that got Meat Loaf signed to a record contract. And why not? That intro is GOLD. Happy Halloween!
