I continue to be amazed by all the transformations i hear about. - TopicsExpress

I continue to be amazed by all the transformations i hear about. Here is one from Scott Calabritto. I was introduced to the Visalus from my brother who has been actively taking the challenge for the past year. After attending a challenge party from one of our childhood neighbors and getting more familiar with the program I still wasn’t sold on the idea. In fact I told my wife I was not interested. Later in the week I seen some pictures from the party and there I was I Looked like an egg sitting there and was completed disgusted with myself and my appearance. After some research and discussing it with my physician I decided this would be the right program for me. Another reason I joined the challenge was because of I have Type 2 diabetes and was fearful my life would be greatly shortened if I didn’t do everything possible to control my blood sugar levels. Thoughts of leaving my wife with the mortgage and bills scared the hell out of me. I knew a sensible diet watching my sugars intake and to get moving was the key to help in this fight. What I did not expect was that in day 3 of my challenge we would be out at the store and I would remember I didn’t take my morning medicine(Metformin). The cause of my sudden remembrance was that I started feeling a little shaky. If you are a diabetic and you forgotten to take your medicine, and even had breakfast that morning(Fired Bologna and egg sandwich) as your treat for the day then you know when the shakes came on your blood sugar had to be high right? So we ran back to the house so I could take my medicine and check my sugar level and to my surprise it was not high at all it was at the median range of 100 on my monitor. What I was experiencing was something unfamiliar to me that my body was reacting to being in the healthy zone of glucose levels for the first time in years. Now this morning day 6 into the challenge not only have I lost 8 lbs. but when I wake up my waking blood sugar is a solid 20 points lower than it was just 6 days ago. When deciding to join the 90 day challenge I knew certain things would be five necessities for me to be successful and they were: 1. Easy to do – Was no way I could kill myself with what I ate2. Taste great – I do not even like the taste of diet drinks and love a good tasting meal 3. Know real people that it works for- do not show me a model who gained weight and then loss it for the photo shoot as a testimonial 4. Have the support of those around me who like me want to be healthy- Bobby wanted to be in the best shape of his life for his son on the way. 5. Had the ability to share with those around me- I love my family and friends and want to have them in my life for more years than not. I am using two terms during my Visalus challenge. First in my championship title bout against obesity I will score a “PKO” = Personal Knock Out!! For the cage match against diabetes I may not able to cure it but I am sure going to make it tap out with a “VI strangle hold”. So thank you to my brother Bobby Nance and Kyle/Lindsey Jenkins for the introduction to Visalus. I am sure right now you are reading this and you have a goal of your own whether it is to help lose that last 5 – 10 pounds, have more energy, train for that marathon or lose over 70 lbs like myself. You have your own motivation for wanting to be in the best health and shape of your life. To see that person you want to be in your mind. Whatever your story ask me today about the next challenge party and find out about the Visalus 90 day challenge!
