I could not be more in love! #Edinburgh has a charm and incredible history that cannot be disputed. My neighbours to the North, the Scots are friendly, humorous and loyal. What an amazing weekend. From the fortress of Edinburgh Castle overlooking the Old and New Towns, to stories of huge skyscraping tenaments in gruesome years gone by with witch trials, executions and the plague, to the funfair of today. Im getting ready for Hogmanay street parties at my hotel near Calton Hill. One of the most famous ways to see in the New Year. 75,000 people will come together to reflect, celebrate and sing Auld Lang Syne. This song, or poem as it started, looks back on times past and going forward in the future in fellowship. The perfect end to one year and beginning of another. Yesterday I watched a Viking torchlight procession, a tradition that remembers the deep rich heritage of the people who have settled here. It was a very special memory of my time here. I couldnt recommend a trip to Edinburgh more. Hogmanay has already been a fantastic experience. I cant wait for tonight! Please come and @VisitScotland
