I couldnt agree more with Amel Ahmed It amazes me how quickly Arabs, especially Yemenis, can turn on the Houthis and regurgitate absurd government propaganda linking an otherwise organic, local movement to bloated grandiose claims of a Shia takeover- when in reality the Houthis were the only group who remained loyal to the revolution and didnt sell out like a great many others did, including overrated Nobel winner Karman. Unlike her party Islah, Houthis rejected a sharia state and called for equal political representation for all, a fact you hardly hear anyone mentioning. Long before any of the Arab revolutions took place, the Houthis have been leading uprisings of their own while being massacred in the process for daring to speak out against their marginalization. The only thing remotely sectarian about this conflict is the fact that Hadis regime and his puppet masters (including western media) want so desperately for the world to perceive it as such and its remarkable watching people (especially Sunnis) who never heard of the Houthis prior to this conflict parrot that nonsense. When is it ok for Shias to demand their rights exactly? When Sunni dictators permit it?
