I couldnt decide whether to go with a Hannibal Lecter quid pro quo or a Bill Murray-esque Meatballs/Stripes style with the counselor yesterday so I played it risky and went as myself. Ellen was quite happy and relieved I didnt play any mind f@%k games with our counselor. Also I made the girls come so I would have to be play nice. We laughed, we cried, we laughed at crying, we laughed so hard we cried. Definitely the word of the day was psychoanalyze, which I was told I repeated about 17 times. Best quote of the day might be Im not into being psychoanalyzed, I dont want to be psychoanalyzed and if youre going to try to psychoanalyze me youd better get another pen and pad of paper cuz youre gonna write a book. All in all it went great. We are a so called normal family dealing with the cancer in a humorous way. Different approach she states, but if it works for us go with it. I take a nonchalant attitude and that everything will work out and be fine while Ellen (gotta love her) worries to the extreme. Complete opposite views which works most of the time for us. Has for 26 years why not another 26. She would like to see Ellen and I again but I feel her time would be more valuable if she uses on families in dire straits and extreme cancer cases. Might go back again, Ellen would like too, I dont know. Time and treatment will tell. I know my awesome strengths and pathetic weaknesses. Will be working on those few weaknesses more. Hey I might end up being a better person after all this. Another psychologist once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. efefefefef
