I covered a track recently of a band that comes into my studio one of there older songs, like if they hadnt been comitted to music and come in i would not have been any the wiser, researched their old music and thought man theyre superb, songs lost in the distance of time, well i covered one of there tracks, it came out good, not being a smart arse, just liked the song, told the band about it and they went, thats the first time anybody covered any of our songs , theyve been going for years as well, well the way I see it is in a healthy musicscene, instead of being the big man critic bandsshould support there other local bands and cover songs they like, because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and then you bond, the music scene gets connected and becomes stronger, how many bands do that? Try it and see then you might get to know something, coswhen I did that song I had to work out what was being said, once i understood it was like im into that. Ill post the track its called kill the silence, it also encourages bands that others do listen and take note, your not just a background sound. The original and my version have both been on the show.
