I cried when I read this and I will tell you why. I loved Chris Yandall and Steve Cathey and to read Steves words brought the full power of the skateboarding Brotherhood alive in my heart.... Chris was an inspiration to Steve, and I never knew this full story before, and in my life Steve was the same inspiration to me... I didnt know Chris Yandall as a kid but met him in the last decade and absolutely loved him and he was beyond supportive and kind to me and I will miss him dearly. Chris got Steve on the G&S team, and Steve got me on the G&S team a few years later when became the team manager. Steve let me stay at his house in Pacific Beach, took me surfing with the G&S team, and showed me you could be kind, professional, and nice and still be a skateboarder and in the skateboard business, and its nice to know this was passed down from Chris. Steve, you inspired me to make things happen more than you will ever know, which truly led to me having the life in skateboarding that I did, so I cried reading this, knowing I am a skate descendant of Chris Yandall, and Steve, I hope you realize how much you inspired me and I hope Ive told you enough times over the years as you told Chris. Lastly, it makes me hope Ive inspired others along my path, and encouraged them to enjoy their lives and live their dreams.....
