I did it! I just got back from first session with trauma specialist.. she is so wonderful.. confirmed what I knew, showed me things & gave me homework until next session. I have much hope now in recovery & will even see what is hiding in the repressed memories inside. will be painful but will be in observer position. The specialty is called EMDR. I feel a weight off a little. will take much time & work. She said as I "have been in survival mode for almost 40 yrs" said eventually I will remember but memories wont be able to affect me anymore. I feel very comfy with her. For my health & during therapy, there are some people I cannot be around for now if ever.. sure they already know who they are. So glad I went.
