I didnt initially post anything about the verdict in Ferguson. Lately Ive been seeing videos with Black people in them explaining how the people of Ferguson should STOP the looting and find a way to STOP doing things to even be suspected of any type of crime. They stress that WE as Black people NEED to get our acts together. Maybe so but do WE control the inner hate and racist feelings of some people that feel that way? Until They (non black people) have been profiled and violated it is better if they NOT respond in any way about something they cant explain first hand. Yes slavery is over but certain things lie beneath the surface that some people dont see because it doesnt pertain to them. Then they go after Sharpton or any other recognizable organization that tries to help Black people. But down the line most of their opportunities for them (other non white or immigrated people) to succeed in this country comes and came from the blood of Black people. My mother is old enough to have lived through the colored entrance or water fountain. My grandfather came off the plantation. They(non blacks) dislike the protest and vandalism, and often speak about the few bad black people verses the ones who get up work, pay taxes,vote and obey the laws. Bottom line is NOBODY should have to be informed that THEIR child was killed at the hands of the police primarially because hes a young black male and he posed a threat to an officer unarmed.
