I do cook with olive oil. I also cook with butter and coconut oil, depending on my mood. I never cook at high heat. Any cooking of ANY food, including meat, generally reduces the vitamins and nutrition. I generally prefer my meat quite rare. I do wish Patrick had taken after his father because he loved his meat nearly raw. I couldnt agree more! Patrick, on the other hand, has been a bit indoctrinated by the OMG....food contamination! crowd. Just ask him, though, has he ever once gotten food poisoning from me? No. He has not. :) But, even if you MUST cook yours thoroughly, cook low and slow to minimize it and NEVER char your meat. Charring food results in the creation of carcinogens.
