I dont even know where to begin...so Ill just let it flow. Im beyond humbled. And so incredibly gracious. I know that I have been blessed with an amazing family and friends that are like family so Im not sure why Im even remotely surprised that you all continue to be amazing. Last night just reinforced the fact that despite all the suffering and negativity in this world, people still care, want to help, and be a part of something bigger. It doesnt always feel like it, but were one part of a large community of people who are strong and good and philanthropic. And together, we can do great things! Matt couldnt be there last night but I know that he felt the love and energy all the way up in the Shadyside of Pittsburgh. I mean, there arent words to describe the prayer from Rev. Bobby Wilson! Right!?! I told him I wanted the National Anthem of prayers and boy did I get it! AMAZING!!!! And the bands? Listen...there is true talent in this area. REAL, SERIOUS, TOP NOTCH talent. Everyone that was on that stage last night should be on bigger stages with bigger crowds. Im asking all of you to support these guys (and gal). Go to their shows, buy their CDs and tell your friends about their music. Theyre putting their hearts and souls out there for you. Last night was art...original, live, honest to God art. We should appreciate it. Morgan Moser and Matt Maybray of The Maybrayz; Matthew Ryan, Clinton Clegg and The Backstabbing Good People, THE SPARROWS, Dan Bubien, Andrew Taravella, Tim Mabin, Gary Ripper- youre all my heroes. You gave selflessly of your time and energy and Ill never forget that. Sidney Shaw, Leslie Scott, Beth Anders, Delia Pryor Gilbert, Steve Wetzel...thank you for running until you couldnt run anymore and doing it with smiles on your faces. I couldnt have done it without you! Our sponsors, Center Pizza Joes and Mark J. McCullough, Ryno Productions, Beaver County Auto, ShutterBooth Pittsburgh and Jim Christiana- you ensured that the bulk of what we raised went directly to Matt Klutka and thats really what this was all about. I said it last night, and Ill say it again. Nearly 400 people showed up because they believe in this man. Nearly 400 people showed up in support of their friend and family member who has been through so much and we all just want to find a way to help. We all want to lift Matt up and take away his suffering and to shower him with love and support. THANK YOU, from the deepest part of my being, for showing up, for being there, for being energetic, for loving Matt and for continuing to be the amazing people that you are.
