I dont know about any of my friends on Facebook, but when it comes down to it, I dont just coyote hunt to protect the deer herds, pheasants, turkeys, and so on. but I coyote hunt and trap because it is to me the biggest thrill/rush to call in and see in my opinion one of the most beautiful creatures put on this earth. and trapping as well, being able to out smart one of the most intelligent wile-e untamed animals here in the Midwest. well ill put this in perspective for you, my hobby as a wildlife manager goes for all types of animals, some see coyotes as nothing but a pest, well I see them as another resource, along with deer, pheasants, geese/duck, turkey, rabbits, and squirrels. so I am managing coyotes as well to keep there packs healthy and disease free. being a hunter you get a lot of people telling you what your doing is wrong, well if they would just stop and see things through my eyes, they would understand what we do as hunters is more forgiving and humane then not hunting at all. with over population of one kind of animal in a single area comes disease, to name a few, (EHD, CDW, bluetongue, and mange,) in 2013 alone in Iowa 1,053 deer were reported dead from EHD, and thats just reported. Deer, going to waste, suffering and rotting away being of no use to anything or anyone. well the same goes for every other animal. over population and poor wildlife management causes problems in the ecosystem. you look at the number of deer killed this year by Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) and think thats nothing compared to what hunters do, well from 2006 Iowas deer harvest has went down 40%. hunters are limited to how many deer they can kill each and every year, disease is not. as an ethical hunter I strive to take the animal in my sights as cleanly and humanely as I possible can, i will not shoot beyond my limits or comfort zone. people say what about them people out there shooting them at night and cutting off there heads. well them people are not hunters they are thieves stealing from the people who pay and help manage our wildlife areas. so hunters and anti-hunters, the hate towards one another is pointless, anti-hunters you were raised completely different from my fellow hunters, but us hunters love is equal if not greater for the animals god has put on this earth for all to enjoy, some may abuse it some may protect it. but i choose to do what i can in my power to keep hunting alive and pass it down to generations below me. ****NO STUPID COMMENTS BELOW, IF STUFF GETS TO CARRIED AWAY, I WLL BE REMOVEING YOU FROM MY FRIENDS LIST AND REPORTING YOU**** thanks, and please voice your opinion just keep your heads on your shoulders while doing so.
