I dont know if anyone else in the group is old enough to remember the 50s and 60s TV game show Ive Got A Secret, but Henry Morgan was one of the panelists on the show. He had had a lengthy career in broadcasting in radio and television prior to his longtime gig as a panelist on the show. Ive read many memoirs by my favorite rock stars, but this is the only book Ive ever read where in Chapter One, Page One, the author starts telling us how many women hes slept with. (Eww, in this case.) Every two or three chapters, hed begin the chapter by saying Now before I get back to talking about the women...., then go on to another subject. He only named a couple of names so Im still not sure if he was kidding or not!! Anyway- I do remember him well from Ive Got a Secret as well as from a few old movies, so the book was fairly interesting and except for the lapses in taste that I described, overall it was rather amusing and witty. This Henry Morgan should not be confused with Harry Morgan, who was on M*A*S*H for many years, since in Harry Morgans early movies he was billed as Henry Morgan. Obviously he mustve changed to Harry later to avoid confusion with the author here.
