I dont know if you call it showing off, but I have thanked these people in private before I came here just to appreciate them: 1. Mathatha Tsedu: for keeping me grounded with his wise advises. But mostly for leading such a simple life in spite of all his successes. We have that father - son relationship. Very honest and such an intellectual. Thanks God I have him in my life. 2. Ndavhe Ramakuela: Few people know this. Ndavhe discovered me in my final year at Turf Varsity. He gave me a break working as a student journalist for varsity publications. He was my editor but also my English 3rd level lecturer. Highly successful in his own right, he is never too busy to take my calls for advise. His door is also always open for me. This man of God will humble you with his down to earth approach. No wonder people of all races relate easily to him. 3. Kenny Mathivha: quite a knowledgeable man. Straight forward in his outspoken nature. No wonder he is the premiers spokesperson for the second time since the dawn of democracy. This man came to my first office in Louis Trichardt in 2009 and while he advised me on how to sustain my dream in the media business, also understood that I had a burning desire to be a businessman. He gave me a copy of Richard Brynston screw it lets just do it. I never looked back since then. He is still my special advisor. 4. Phuti Seloba: probably my biggest critic. Never settles for mediocrity. Always pushing me to the limit. He understands I am yet to reach my full potential. And wont give me a break until I have reached and surpassed all potentials. I have learned not to limit myself from this gentleman. 5. Shonisani Ashifashabba Muleya: you know him as a funnyman. I know him as a serious businessman. There are times we spend an hour talking business without jokes. He also is quick to reprimand me if I derail. For instance, its festive now but he isnt on holiday. I am meeting him for a crucial meeting of one of the biggest projects we have lined up for 2015. The vast knowledge he possess in media business makes him a go-to-guy. 6. My 3 daughters. Masakona, Lesego and Seani. They are my reasons I try and do better everyday. To be the best father I can be. 7. My partner. My woman. Thank you for being the wonderful soul you are. 8. My brother Chris has been there from Day 1. Witnessed my rise from absolutely nothing. He often gets emotional when he recounts where I come from. But very strict and honest with me. Together with my parents, this is the man I try to impress by working hard. The satisfaction in his eyes when I achieve one milestone after the other makes me sleep better at night. 9. My many friends in media industry and in government. Thank you for believing in my crazy ambitions and encouraging me to go for broke. 10. All men and women of God who pray for me 24/7. Those from my church and those outside my church. All the phone calls I make to you at the wee hours asking for your prayers and guidance. May the good Lord bless you more than He bless me. I take this opportunity to wish you all a merry Christmas and a prosperous 2015. From myself, my woman and the family at Limpopo Media House, we ask God to protect you through out the festive and return in the new year recharged and motivated.
