I dont know the market for creative nonfiction at all, so Ill ask - TopicsExpress

I dont know the market for creative nonfiction at all, so Ill ask this again: Can anybody suggest a publication or competition to send some so-called creative non-fiction? Although that term didnt exist back then and I probably didnt intend the piece that way, it turns out one of my newly rediscovered stories fits that new genre. Its a glimpse of one small facet of life growing up in a photo studio, where my father is taking art-photos of me (six years old) and my sister Shirley-Jean (four years old) sitting on imported bales of hay with a batch of new-born chicks. The Alchemist is short, a page and a half typed double-spaced, so perhaps 300 to 350, words long. Ive never submitted as creative nonfiction before, so have no idea of the marketplace for a vignette like this. Susan Olding, Sarah Tsiang, anyone else... any suggestions?
