I dont know why so many Muslims keep rejoicing over the support given to them on the issue of Gaza. Fine. But its sad when Muslims find no real solace in the Quran that says, Verily the victory of God is near, but instead find happiness and joy in the few bones and scraps that are handed down to us by people. Oooh look Pearl Jam tweeted this or Rihanna supports that. I get it. Public opinion is important in this opinion battle. But, have we abased ourselves so much that we appeal to them for inspiration? If you need celebrities to feel that what is being done in Gaza is terrible, then youve lost your humanity. Furthermore, it only shows what kind of people our folk look up to - especially when you have so-called religious/public figures fueling this ignorance by retweeting and resharing what celebrities think of Gaza.
