I dont no should I say Im disappointed or disgusted. But I think Im hurt to Learn that our very own presenters in a community radio still look at each other in an inferior way and here is what pissed me off: I tune in to Vut fm current affairs show hosted by Tankiso Vilakazi and as his introducing his guests he lambast the other stations. He says to his guest get closer to the microphone so that you may be audible enough, I dont want you to make us sound like this other community stations. And he goes on to say we are in a university remember And felt insulted as a product of the very same station. Why mock other stations if their sound is bad and act as if your station is untouchable. I had respect for him as a man of cloth and such barbaric and self-centered statement I wasnt expecting to come from him. How about you focus on your craft that you should perfect and let those whom without assistance of anyone managed to have their stations to be on air despite the odds they face. Just for your information Mr Vilakazi working in a community radio within the university doesnt make you better or more important over other stations who broadcast from schools or I. Their bedrooms. You just happen to be at the right place at the right time. I immediately switched off and moved to other station and I will never listen to his show ever purely because you dont have respect for other community entities. I wonder how you will feel if those who know radio better can openly mock your presenting skills how will you feel. Ke swabile nko hotswa lemina....
