I dont normally like to post personal things on Facebook, but I - TopicsExpress

I dont normally like to post personal things on Facebook, but I wanted to put a few words about my grandma on here, because I think people might find her life encouraging. While the world is mourning a man whose problems ultimately defeated him, Im celebrating the life of a woman who thrived in spite of a plethora of challenges. A woman who survived the great depression, both world wars, giving birth to 10 live children, and 1 stillborn, losing her husband, losing 2 daughters, having heart surgery, 2 stays in a nursing home, a broken leg/hip, and even fended off the effects off an aneurism until God told her, finally, that she could come home. That she could be reunited with her husband, with her daughters Marie and Joanne, and that she could meet her son, Donnie for the first time. If I had half the strength of my grandma, Id be twice the man I am. She will always be a paragon of strength, perseverance, and faith for me. In closing, I ask that no one write any sympathetic comments, as that is not the purpose of this post. All I ask is that you say a prayer, even if you dont normally pray, and root for the Tigers. God bless! Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your masters joy. Matthew 25:23
