I dont think I made an official announcement yet--I dont know why Im so bad at this, but one of the workshops at the Food&Wine Conference advised me to toot my own horn, so here goes: I am so happy and honored to have my brownie chosen as the first place winner and Signature Dessert for the Food & Wine Conference last weekend in Orlando! Chef Eddy Van Damme, executive chef for Dixie Crystals and world-renowned pastry chef, chose my Bittersweet Balsamic Strawberry Swirl Brownies from among 17 submissions! I was also thrilled to share the Winners Circle with two wonderful baking and blogging buddies, Liz Weber Berg from That Skinny Chick Can Bake (I always try to channel her when I try to make something look elegant) and Betsy Cohen from Desserts Required (we have been buddies in our video group for months now)!
