I dont usually do this but from what I sense, many of you need to read this. I pray for those who feel lonely this holiday season. Not just those who are alone but those who may be sitting in a house full of people and still feel empty. I pray that you gain courage today to cry out to God. Gain the courage to cry out in faith, believing He will hear your cry, and ask Him to comfort you. He is inclined to hear those who cry out to Him. He will surround you with HIs presence and embrace you like no other being could. I pray that you experience this embrace, whoever you are, and let it fill your heart. Let His pierced hands mend you ever so carefully. Let His grace wash over you like sunlight falling on your head at midday. Let Him be all you need because with Him, nothing else can satisfy. The Lord God is close to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. He is your Father, your Friend, your Groom; He and His bride, the church, are your family on this Thanksgiving day. Go open the dusty Bible. Go kneel in your room before heading to the family dinner. Go listen to a worship song on Youtube or Pandora while cooking or getting dressed. Dont choose to be alone this holiday season. He wants to be with you. He wants to see your heart filled with joy, overflowing into others lives this season. I pray you let Him in. I pray all of this, in Jesus name, Amen.
