I dont want to get into an argument with anyone about whether he is liberal or whatnot. This is about personal growth. I remember when he was a very bad boy, and it is truly remarkable to see how Rob Lowe has matured. He was on GMA this morning talking about his new book and said something remarkably insightful. He mentioned how he and Amy Adams had been cast on a TV show that was cancelled. He talked about how sad it was at the time but that the cancellation freed her to go on to film, where she of course has flourished to the point of winning an Oscar. His insight into the situation was spot-on, to wit, that sometimes when we think something has happened that looks awful it is actually leading up to something great. Lowe also waxed a little philosophical on the fact that he had been offered the role on Greys Anatomy that has since been played by Patrick Dempsey: We all make choices. He didnt seem bitter about it but was actually very mature about it.
