I eat meat, so obviously Im not an animal rights poster boy. But it occurs to me: Ive always been bored by circuses, zoos, and petting zoos. And with todays technology, its pretty easy to teach people about animals without the animals having to be in sad cages just so they can be near us. I know that many facilities do great work with endangered animals, but Im betting theres a way to limit that to indigenous species, and to be more like, I dont know, San Diego Wild Animal Park in the process. So sure, why not? Zoos and circuses can go away. Just, you know, find a way to let us keep the horse drawn carriages.
