I enjoyed the interview with Magic and Cookie Johnson the other night. Cookie made a decision to commit herself to her husband and her children as they grew. But as they got of age, it was HER TIME. She had the time to focus on the vision God placed in her - creating Cj by Cookie Johnson - designing jeans for curvy women. AWESOME! She never lost herself, and in doing so, she helped her husband know the TRUE meaning of love, life and purpose and helped him be-COME the man God designed him to be. This is the VERY definition of Help-Meet. His challenge was to SURRENDER to her in areas he wasnt strong in. We often hear people talk about Wives submit to your husbands, but rarely does anyone mention Ephesians 5:21 -Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. SUBMISSION IS MUTUAL and necessary for success. God has created powerful, yet needful differences in both men and women. When we blend our submission to each others strengths AND surrender it all to God; then...and ONLY THEN is there true marital success.
