I expected to be up early today with being unable to sleep and to actually get to 4.00am was a bit of a shock! Yesterday saw me wind down my carers role with Mandy and let someone else take over. I do not begrudge this role in any way, but it was quite good to go out and about with someone else dealing with the wheelchair. Im packed and now just waiting for my driver to take me to Brighton. To pass the time, I am keeping the other insomniacs on here company. We dont talk, we just offer comfort by being there. Seeing those familiar names online reminds you that you are not alone in not being able to sleep. My music is quite soothing, Iron Maidens Brave New World. Their best album IMHO and better than some Bjork shit that someone dedicated to me yesterday! The phrase a brave new world also seems to be quite relevant. Ive managed to get through the darkness and anxiety of the last year and actually feel optimistic for a change. Thanks to everyone that has wished me well over the next few days (and weeks). I could write a list and tag everyone in, but someone would then feel excluded. So again, thanks to everyone
