I experienced this today and as I was looking at the individual who simply would not stop talking incessantly and cutting me off unless I Bogarted and held tight to the reigns to get my thought out ... I exhaust from this kinda communication. I was also trying to figure out what this behavior was. Shes not a rude lady. Shes actually sweet. Then another joined us and our 3rd party began to have to battle with the over talker who Im not so sure even realizes how rude her behavior comes across even though as I said earlier she isnt actually rude. Hmmm...it was as if she simply couldnt help it. Then her responses headed in the direction of being a slight but unrelated. Very strange. Well heres an article I found that hits on some of her behavior. Keep right on talking. Dealing with a relentless interrupter who just wont stop? The unconventional, last ditch approach of forging ahead with your sentence and adding more volume delivers a jarring and unmistakable message. It conveys that youre sick of being rudely interrupted and youre just not taking it anymore.
