I feel I must repeat myself. Like I said before; mind-wrecking, left on the sofa with palsy trying to understand this: John 9:41 If you were blind, you would have no sin; but since you say, We see, your sin remains. In my head, I have an urban dictionary. Here is an entry: Religious: a spiritual action by which partially-valid faith becomes misdirected and abused, resulting in totalitarian hypocrisy and repetitive demands of salvation. So answer me this?: What, exactly is Jesus saying here in Luke 7?: (hint, look closely at the uppercase) For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! But wisdom is justified of ALL her children JESUS WAS INCLUSIVE!!!!...ALL of wisdoms children. So, what is your claim to fame? That you speak in tongues?...I too have spoken in tongues. Am I sinless now? Am I saved? Must everyone speak in tongues to be saved? Is it really that exclusive? What about knowing the heart of God? So, hypothetically; If I know the heart of God and humble myself, but I dont speak in tongues....then I am still not saved? Perhaps. But YOU, who speak in tongues but lack the discernment necessary to cull the assumptions of your own imagination.....are NO more or less saved than I am! Do you get it yet? No one is excluded and likewise, no one is perfect either. Jesus received the Holy Ghost at the Baptism of John....and yet 12 chapters later.....Luke 12:50, Jesus is still not FULLY baptized, I have a baptism to undergo, and how I am pressed down until it is accomplished. Nowhere in the Gospels is tongues even mentioned. But, chapter after chapter is filled with the stories Jesus told concerning the depth and diversity of love that God has for us. Tongues is listed, in a long list of the signs and fruits of salvation. But, hey, if you want to act exclusive, you want to make boxes....I got a box for you too....the difference is that I know better. You know what defines the spirit of the pharisees?; EXCLUSIVITY. Jesus forgave all the ones they didnt. Validated all the ones they wouldnt. Defied all the religious boundaries they put up. Wisdom is justified of ALL her children Stop going through life with partial vision. Stop trying to make definitive statements. Just accept the Godly fact, that ALL people have a PARTIALLY VALID claim to the love and mercy of God, and even the plight of common sinners is justified. All are justified, you just cant or wont see it. And the minute you think you see, you dont...and if the light you have is really darkness, how deep is that darkness? There is what you say, and then, there is what you think deep-down, about yourself and about others. INCLUSION is a covering; it gives us boundaries. If you dont understand that, then your religion has become defiled by YOU. “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares.
