I feel its not just the matter of hours. Other jobs can be even longer, but the fact that teaching is not just a job that you can let off your shoulders once the day ended. The work will end at a certain time, but there is often emotional responsibilities that follow the teachers even after jobs end, its the relationships built with ones charges, often people still at the stage that needs guidance and care and causes worries and concerns. It is a 勞心 job. And younger teachers probably will find it very hard to manage this aspect, due to the nobility of the calling and lack of life wisdom how to handle worries (at least for me).
