I feel like this video is an excellent way to spend 7 minutes of your time. Every business in America should adopt the same mentality as Starbucks and many companies around the States. As stated in the video, veterans dont want charity, they want a chance to serve... Ive worked at Starbucks for close to two months, and enjoy going to work every day. I would not have had this opportunity if someone didnt believe in my abilities...every veteran has transferable skills that can make a viable addition to any business team. Given the opportunity, and a little training to regear...we can make that positive influence have a lasting impact. After 8 1/2 years in the Marines, I chose to transition...and now I am an Assistant Manager for a very successful location working for a great manager, with a great team.
