I feel like we are maybe putting the cart before the horse a little. We speak of Arts and Culture and revitalizing both Le Village and the downtown core (which is getting there). We seem to in one hand want Cornwall to be hip and cool and full of culture but with the other encourage senior citizens to settle here. Young, cool business will not succeed without young, cool people to shop here. I think we have opportunity to grow but we need to start to drill down to the root of why such business struggle and often fail. Does our market currently support what the vocal minority envision? Do we want to attract and keep young people or do we want a city full of active seniors? We need to choose our path with more conviction if we want people to Choose Cornwall I think.
