I find it amusing how Zane says Teen Titans (the old and only cartoon) tried to be anime when it really wasnt It tried to be a comic on TV. It was almost successful at doing that too. Honestly it could have been better but they still had the American mindset about TV and how most people should be able to just jump in without much back-knowledge of what just happened... I dont know if you realize this, but comics have been doing the anime thing where theres an overarching story with the smaller arcs and it picks up where it left off in the last comic. If you noticed by now, the Japanese did the same thing with manga that we have with comics, but they went into many more genres than just mostly action and mystery. Thats where most of the anime came from anyways. Its nothing foreign to America. at least in comics...
