I find it hard to believe that come tomorrow night at o2359:59 or 11:59:59pm I took my very last drink of booze. I took my first drink of Moonshine when I was just 13 years old and back then the drinking age was 18 years old. When I was 16 years old I was already 61 and shaving and I passed for 18 at the Rock House which was a bar down the road from the High School I went to and would cut class and go to it. Being raised by a very abusive father that wouldnt stop beating me until blood would flow I was a all out drunk by 18. I never got busted for DUI and the company I was painting had a rule that if you did get busted for DUI you were fired then and there because we had to be able to drive company trucks. I decided that on my 30th birthday at 11:59:59 I would take my very last drink ever and that is just what I did. For my Bday I got a Fifth of Jose Quervo and poured up a shot and sat it aside for my very last drink and one second before midnight I downed that last shot and sat the shot glass upside downwards and that was it for my drinking days. Sure has been great waking up and not having to worry if the woman beside me was Coyote Ugly or not. So come Midnight on the morning of 6 Oct. I will begin my 27th year of being sober.
