I find it interesting the press is trying to make the Federal government shut down about a debate or somehow negotiation. The objections or contentions regarding the Affordable Care Act are simply an excuse as were the other attempts to halt the government by the Republican House of Representatives. It should say something that the biggest issue with the ACA today was the website(s) were overwhelmed. But of course, it was never about the ACA or the pipeline (which held up the last round of halting the government); this is about trying to smear a president, The President, because he crushed their candidates and proved their issues to be closer to the re-establishment of Feudal principles where the rich rule and are considered lords. President Obama has not hit these jokers where it matters yet. He needs to unleashing a tongue lashing of majestic proportions or the next round of this madness in November will further damage the country. It is almost as if the Republican party wants the return of slavery based on modern terms; even though their predecessors fighting the minority Democrats of the South defeated it. This dissention is coming very close to creating a dysfunctional riff that presents a danger to regular people. If a minority of people want to enhance the mass poverty that threatens the security of the country, it needs to be said with vehemence and spite.
