I find it very disheartening to see individuals making light of the request Pastor Shirley Caesar has made in reference to the paying off of her church. First, I caution everyone who has something negative to say to tread lightly with your verbiage. Let us not so quickly forget, that we will be judged upon EVERY word that we say, whether; verbal or textual. As I have watched the clip and have read the offensive and uncouth remarks, I am puzzled as to who the “Body of Christ” really is? If you have never worked in the Gospel Music Industry nor have Pastored a church (Small or LARGE), YOU should be the first to tailor your comments and conversations. Many have said that Shirley Caesar is a “Millionaire” and that she should “sell her personal items” to be a donation. Others have said, “Look at her house, she ain’t broke”, while many alluded to her other “rich” friends. Whether she is a millionaire or not or if she has rich friends; she made a honest plea to the “Body of Christ” to be of assistance to her and the Mt. Calvary Church. If you are not in a position to HELP, just HUSH! For those who have been so negative and have mocked this situation, they never once mentioned the OUTREACH ministry that blesses lives in the Wake County area nor did they mention the numerous FREE concerts she has given to help a worthy cause. They never even mentioned the many free concerts and services that are held at her church were lives are HEALED, DELIVERED and SET FREE—yet, they crucify her for asking for help. Many persons that I have seen comment belong to some of the world’s “GRAND OLD” organizations where they will take hours to RAISE an offering, yet, Pastor Caesar is being ridiculed because of her plea. If you are in the position to help and the Lord has instructed you to do so, SOW…If not SHUT YOUR MOUTH and pray. **FYI: I am not a member nor affiliated with Pastor Caesar’s Ministry—I simply believe RIGHT is RIGHT!!!** I am the Reverend Justin M.
