I firmly believe that our prayers are answered as much for our needs as they are for our wants. If we were to be given exactly what we ask for, we would find ourselves stifling our own growth. Our prayers are answered even when they seem not to be. The Lord, I am sure does not give out our wishes lamely just because we ask for things. He considers whether we would be worse off by asking for and receiving things that we think we need that he may think are actually bad for us. People must always be asking for help to get jobs but the Lord can see that far ahead that sometimes it is better long term we make unwilling sacrifices because of what the Lord has in store for us. A great leap of faith needed sometimes here. Its hard to think that the Lord has decided not to help us get a job. The times I felt I would want to move jobs, or even find one and then realized that it was a plan that I go live somewhere else and the bad reputation there would have been on my job record had I been given that job only to have had to leave it to move to another city. When I look back over my life and see how my life developed in conjunction with my wants compared to what I was given or rather blessed with, I see that there would of been very black periods indeed that I would have suffered if I had gotten MY WAY.
