I found a new author I really really really really REALLY like! Penny Reid. I dont remember how I downloaded it to the kindle (i should name it, or use proper caps, The Kindle, when talking about the kindle....anyway...). Im reading Friends Without Benefits, Id classify it as romantic comedy. Smart characters! No digbats or ditzy blonde/redhead/brunettes. Plain speaking, she writes how I have seen many of you write, with slang and colloquialisms. Medical background, which always grabs me, the main characters first love died of Leukemia when he was 16, and the 4 y.o. niece of the love interest has a disease that she will be pivotal in treating (im assuming, im not that far in yet), oh yeah-shes a doctor. She got chewed out for pulling a prank at work and had to suppress a Marge Simpson growl. Sarcastic, witty and Im certain at some point Ill cry. Her nemesis is a perky blonde doctor named Megalomaniac Meg (bwahahahahahaa! personal joke there!). It has been a while since an authors tone and depth of character has grabbed me so early in a book, I had to share! I feel like I could know these characters in real life, they talk how I talk to my friends. (the word asshattery has already been played
