I found this on the internet. don;t know who wrote it but you be the judge on this. What is going on here in Chicago? I am a taxpayer. Some of my tax dollars go to pay the police & fire. In the last year I have watched my taxes used to hire firemen based on Race and not Qualifications. These are the applicants that had not scored high enough to be hired by the fire department. I have also heard that it took many of these hired several attempts to pass the fire tests while in training. Now today I read about women who were unable to pass a physical test set up by the fire department. They are now being back paid and hired? To the politicians you are wasting my tax dollar. I trusted you to provide safety for my family and myself. My Question is, What happened to taking a test and hiring qualified members, Race and Gender should not even be a factor. I am asking that my Taxes be spent on the most qualified people. I CAN ONLY DREAM OF THE DAY WHEN MY CHILDREN WILL BE JUDGED ON THEIR CHARACTER AND NOT THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN!
