I found this post-script by Kathleen Fasanella compelling, "I have received an unprecedented number of emails and phone calls from manufacturers who vowed to never make plus sizes after witnessing yet more invective from plus sized women. Hit too hard and no one wants to play with you, what sane person welcomes a gratuitously unkind and fractious customer?" In the blogs, i see more joy of discovery of new fashion lines, but there is so much ugliness hurled at retailers or just into the world. I know I used to go into stores and shudder at the selection. Now, I do try to write positive and politely critical comments. And I understand that my size and shape and tastes needs are a specialty market.
