I fully understand the five-fold ministry. I feel that the true “Bishop’’ is the embodiment of all five. Can I tell you that this “Pastoral part” is really acting up. Ive been gone for only 7 days and I MISS MY CHURCH !! I’m sitting here in the Admirals Club in St. Juan waiting for my flight to get home because I really want to see the saints. I am yearning to hear the Alpha Choir at 7:30 a.m. give me some “old styled church” then to go forth in “high praise” at 9:30 & 11:30. You see when you are a pastor you have a concern from day to day and week to week how the members are doing. Who’s sick? Who’s bereaved? Who will be waiting on me to drop a word in the house that would give them encouragement and strength ? And so, I have that shut down time every saturday for the past soon to be 33 years asking the Lord what needs will be said or done with his bride? Pastors hear my heart on this, do not take it lightly that the Lord has entrusted us to cover, care for, shepherd and lead His people. Rather they are nice or nasty, we have the responsibility of showing them the image of Christ. Yes, I believe in balance and have had a great vacation but I want you to know that I hold you close to my heart! And we look forward to seeing you in the morning and knowing that our other brothers and sisters of the kingdom are faring well from wherever you get this post in the World. “What’s to come is still better than what’s been” +Larry D.
