I generally do not feed into nonsense but I feel that the harassment we have been receiving has reached enough of a level for us to address it publicly and in the open. Today, again, our neighbors have once again made idiots out of themselves by calling the zoning officer, humane officer, police, and anyone else they could think of on us and our dogs at our new property. I have not had a chance yet to see if there was a complaint filed with the dog warden but more than likely there was because that has been how it has been going for months. The irony of this is the dogs and goats the complaint was about have not been there for over a month but are still receiving complaints. This makes me question the integrity of those doing all the complaining, since they have been on the property to see there was no hay in the boxes and the goats are standing in the cold when obviously that is not the case since both the dogs and goats have been moved to their winter home on the last warm day we had of 2013. For our followers, several weeks ago we stated about moving the dogs and goats to where they will be residing for the winter... i.e. off of the new property to somewhere with better access to electricity. Why would we need electricity you ask? Because we have heat lamps, water tank heaters, and the like to power while we gear up for the polar vortexes we have been experiencing and kidding season is quickly approaching us here. We also employed the help of Nates dad to keep an eye on things while we have been working at the house around the clock while on vacation from work. What does this all mean to our followers? We just wanted to let you guys know we are not closing, we were not cited or shut down, or any of this other nonsense that is being spread around the interwebs. The move we made was planned and was publicly posted here for our friends and followers to see. The goats are doing great, Miss Lady is fat and happy, and the pups are enjoying the weather lounging on the couch and our LGDs are happy as clams with their herd they have finally adopted (Yay!) As always, we request that if you have a problem with us or what we do that you address us personally instead of making a fool out of yourself. We understand that our property we purchased was vacant for almost 10 years and it is an adjustment to see a farm spring up in the place of the former sheep farm. There really is no need for this tension or problems. We are zoned agriculture. We own a farm as the property has always been since the first deed in the 1800s. We comply with a local, state, and federal laws and comply with inspections, registrations, and liscensing as required by law. All of this information and copies are readily availible on our website or by calling us directly. We are here to stay. If you do not want to live beside a farm, do not buy property beside a farm. There are no hard feelings towards our neighbors (and yes we know you watch this page and we know who you are causing the ruckus) because we understand this is an adjustment period. We have been more than understanding of your predicament but it has finally gone too far and we refuse to be harassed daily from this point on. Thank you for your understanding. Everyone have a blessed week, stay safe and warm, and God Bless. ~Thundering Hill Farm
