I get a lot of emails and messages with lots of compliments and folks whove been inspired by what Im doing. Im hugely humbled (which isnt easy, ask my wife) by all the good wishes and such. If youre wondering what the secret is, all I can tell you is you just have to resign yourself to do whatever it is youre trying to accomplish. Nikes slogan is not bullshit. You make a list of what you need to do for the next day or week or month and you just go through and knock those things out. You send emails, you make phone calls, if you cant get hold of someone, call or email again. You just keep going until the task is done. You ask lots of questions, discover that one question leads to more tasks, you add those to the list, wash, rinse, repeat. Some of its fun, some of it is not. You dont stop to think about what could go wrong. That doesnt mean you dont make contingency plans, you definitely do because few things go 100% the way you plan or how you preconceived them as going. But in the end, you just do it. Really. My wife and friends tell me all the time that I should be proud of how far Ive come thus far. To be honest, Im so busy and I have so much more work to do before were up and running that I just cant stop to think about it. Once we ship our first kegs out the door, I hope to sit on the steps of my brewhouse, drink a pint of my own craft beer, and reflect. But right now, that seems so far away. Thanks for all the well wishes and someday in the near future, I hope to be able to drink a pint with as many of you as possible at the brewery. Were not there yet, but we will be.
