***I get asked if I get nervous and what its like walking to cage, so here is my honest response to that*** These pics are before I step in the cage.... The worst part, that can make or break you. Why? Because this is a thinking mans sport with no room for error, not a tough mans sport. This is when youre visualizing everything positive or negative, and the moment insecurities/worry comes out. Everyone is nervous, mainly out of fear of losing/making mistakes or being in front of millions when you have a lot to gain or a lot to lose. Its normal you think its only you feeling this way, but everyone fighting feels the same way whether they admit it or not, yet mask it by smiling/laughing or intimidating look. All of this thinking, can be controlled to be a good thing so you dont make mistakes or can completely ruin you before you even stepped in the cage. This is why its best to be mentally strong, intelligent, zero emotion and not overly confident. Everyone has their own ways to channel their constant thoughts and feelings. The ones that dont, will have a lot of problems sooner or later. Regardless of their thinking/feelings, the moment they step in the cage, you know theyre a warrior and have completed one of the toughest most grueling tasks. Your adrenaline is going insane and youre hoping the fight starts ASAP. Once it does and that first punch is thrown, the nerves are gone (unless your nerves blew all of your energy from anxiety overload aka adrenaline dump) and the smarter fighter sets a good pace with a good game plan. I havent tasted defeat but I have been around it. When the fight is over; win, lose or draw, you are relieved, happy, feel accomplished, learned a lot and became more of warrior. Your family and true supporters are proud of you no matter what. After a little time off, its like the taste of blood and you cant wait to do it again. Certain songs come on and you get jacked up thinking about your past and future fights and the thoughts/excitement never gets old. Martial arts is a lifestyle full of great people that push their body to the limits. The struggle can be horrible, but its the path that created us into better people. Its what we do and what makes us happy. This is why I love martial arts and my job! JuryJJ #JuryJiuJitsu JJJ: Jury Jiu Jitsu Dee Zee Truck Accessories Banned Fightwear
