I get that English people and MPs are fed up with Scottish MPs having a say in their affairs, actually for once I agree with them. I agree that politicians from another country shouldnt be able to vote on policies that effect people who do not live there. So... How is it fair that English MPs can vote on policies that effect Scots but when Scottish MPs vote overwhelmingly to reject Westminster policies like the Bedroom Tax, Welfare cuts etc not one of these English MPs bats an eyelid? One minute theyre all up in arms about their democratic rights being infringed but when its the other way round they call it the best of both worlds. Its okay then for English MPs to make the bulk of major decisions that effect Scotland but not okay for Scottish MPs to do the same? Their hypocrisy stinks! Scottish MPs account for 59 of 650 MPs in Westminster so in reality they have very little influence over policies that effect Scotland never mind the UK or English only matters. Welfare cuts: 81% of Scottish MPs rejected it, Westminster enforced it VAT increase: 82% of Scottish MPs rejected it, Westminster enforced it Royal Mail sell off: 79% of Scottish MPs rejected it, Westminster enforced it Bedroom Tax: 91% of Scottish MPs rejected it, Westminster enforced it War in Iraq: 52% of Scottish MPs rejected it, Westminster enforced it Pension Age rise: 80% of Scottish MPs rejected it, Westminster enforced it
