I got a FedEx today from Gooch and the Douche, inviting me one final time back to my position at Market Basket. I have until Friday to think about this. Well, I dont need until Friday. Lets break this letter down, shall we? Dear Vincent Kanhai-Singh You have no right to refer to me by name. You had opportunities to do so on other occasions, such as the day I buried my mom for example. On that day, when I was on vacation, you first threatened my position within the company. I am not a person to you any more than you are to me. You have not reported to work in several weeks. I have used my vacation time and even assisted with issues during this timeframe. Since that time, the company has communicated with you on numerous occasions to request that you return to your role. Really? I must not have received those. Please let me check my mailbox and voicemail for these communications. Please hold....Nope, not there. In these communications, the company has welcomed you back to your position without any consequences. See above. Checking again. Still nothing in my mailbox or any voicemails. Despite these efforts, you have ignored the companys repeated offers to return. The last time I was in the office, on July 28, I was stopped at the front door and asked by 3 men in tan shirts if I worked in IT. A 26 year employee, the past 15 years at the office, I have been asked who I am exactly ZERO times prior to this day. WHO THE FU*K ARE YOU???? We are writing one final time, to invite you to work and perform your job obligations. Well, this is ONE time you are writing to me. And what the hell would you know about my job obligations? If your role requires that you primarily work at the companys headquarters or distributions facilities, you must return to such role ready to fulfill your duties by no later than Friday, August 15, 2014. If my role requires? Based on whose definition? I am able to perform my duties without being in the office. However, even performing them in the office would be impossible at this point as my acct has been disabled since last week. Most certainly for my protection again, as it was the first time. Alternatively, if your job is based in the field, you are required to return to work and contact either of us prior to August 15 to review the work you are performing. I have a boss I answer to. You two clowns are not my boss. Should you choose to ignore either of these directives, the company will consider you to have abandoned your job, thereby ending your employment with the company. Directives? Shouldnt one know how to direct in order to send out directives? And job abandonment? That would be what YOU TWO have done since assuming your roles, no? I mean, how could a company that was worth $4.6 billion the day you took over now be worth so little that NO OTHER COMPANY IN THE WORLD wants to buy us? If that isnt job abandonment, or dereliction of duty, I dont know what is. We look forward to your return so that we can resume our efforts to fulfill our customers needs. The best line of all. Customers needs? I KNOW this has been conveyed far more than once or twice. The customer needs are the same as the associate needs. Get rid of your two retarded asses and get Mr. DeMoulas back where he belongs. YOU have failed! WE HAVE WON!!! You are on borrowed time and you know it. This is probably the last communication you will have with any associates. And if so, then my last communication with you will have been the same as my first - a threat to fire me. You are both pieces of shit and I have nothing more to say to you, EVER! Good riddance!
