I got here quite early to see the Dalai Lama. I bought my tickets online the first day, and picked a great seat. Several theater patrons, including myself, were shuffled back five rows from the great seats for which we held tickets. A velvet rope was strung across these 20 seats by a man citing security. However, the corresponding seats on the other side of the theater were not roped off. Whose security was in question? I can tell you: the entourage of Mayor Bell. It was Bells security who made us moved (we were not asked). Fortunately theater management believed we should get the seats we paid for, and the velvet rope came down.
